We offer a clean, inviting environment to provide maximum comfort, as well as massaging chairs to relax and ease you into your appointment. Knowing what to expect at your first visit, as well as what to bring, can make your experience even more enjoyable. We sincerely appreciate your trust in our quality care.
What to Expect During your First Visit:
Dr. Allen and his hygienists will perform a complete oral and periodontal assessment and discuss any treatment you may need. The examination can identify conditions such as tooth decay, periodontal (gum) disease, and even oral cancer. Your teeth cleaning may be performed during your first visit, or might be scheduled for a follow-up visit depending on the how healthy your teeth and gums are. Your first appointment will take between 1–1½ hours. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What to Bring:
To make your experience as pleasant and as brief as possible, there are a few items you should bring with you. Please have your previous dental office transfer your dental chart and records to our office prior to your first visit. In addition, if you’ve had dental x-rays in the last three years, please have your previous dental office transfer them to our office. If you don’t have them, new x-rays can be taken.
With just a few simple forms, we’ll ask for relevant medical history, any medications you might be taking, your dental history, and any dental insurance coverage you may have. Please plan ahead, and try to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow for an adequate amount of time to fill these forms out. If you would like to get a head start, you may download and print the new patient forms from our website and bring them with you to your first visit.
