Katie Rasmussen, owner of Sunshine Alley in West Salem, was looking for an old-fashioned community Christmas when she came up with the idea of decorating West Salem’s Village Park for the holidays. Katie invited area businesses to get involved and develop the idea into a full-fledged Winter Wonderland in Village Park. More than 20 businesses contributed to the event, and dozens of volunteers gathered to help decorate.

Not everyone can get to the La Crosse Rotary Club Lights in Riverside Park, so this is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the beautiful lights and holiday wonder right in their hometown. As a bonus, the Winter Wonderland will host a visit from Santa Claus from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. December 20th! The village will provide refreshments and games, and children will get to meet with Santa in the gazebo.
